Migliore got into the win column Sunday
after posting a 2-over 72 to edge a pair of
Whitesboro high school players to take the
Open Division at the 2nd Annual
Valley-Amateur at Twin Ponds Golf &
Country Club.
"To win is great. It could help me going into
Rome," Migliore said of the Aug. 13-14
Rome City-Am. "It should at least give me
some more confidence."
Joel Jakubowicz finished a stroke back of
Migliore, while high school teammate
Chuck Coppola and Joe Kasprzyk tied for
third after posting 74s.
Mike Zurek, who won the Utica City-Am two
weeks ago, shot 76 to finish solo fifth.

and Rome city amateurs shot 77 to tie for
sixth with Eamon Dempsey.
In the Seniors Division, Jim DeRella shot
