2011 Team Notes

May 17: Dustin Farley (Whitesboro) was named All Region for 2nd year in a row by NJCAA Division 3.

May 16-17: Dustin Farley (Whitesboro, MVCC) 10th at Regionals, which were held at Cortland CC.
Farley shot 78-76-154 on the rain-soaked course to advance to the NJCAA Finals, June 6-10, held at
Chautauqua GC, in Chautauqua, NY. This will be Farley's second trip hoping to best last years finish of
18th.

May 17: Stephanie Rahn (Whitesboro graduate), a freshman at MVCC has been named MVP for the
Women's Golf Team. Stephanie finished 1st in 4 oif 6 events for the 2011 Season.

May 9: Dustin Farley (Whitesboro) has been named MVP for the MVCC Golf Team. Farley's scoring
average of 77 was tops for the Hawks. Sherburne-Earlville's Kory Rice was named Most Improved
Player. Rice improved 10 strokes on his average from start to finish. Congrats to both.

May 8: MVCC finished 4th at Monroe with a team total of 328. Sherburne-Earlville graduate Kory Rice
was medalist for the Hawks with a 77. Regular season record for the Hawks is now 43-25. NJCAA
Regionals are set for Monday, May 16 and Tuesday, May 17 at Cortland CC. The top 15 advance to
Nationals in June.

May 7: MVCC finished 5th with a 332 team score at Genesee Community College. Whitesboro graduate
Dustin Farley led the Hawks with a 75 and finished second for the event. Whitesboro graduate
Stephanie Rahn won the Women's Division with a 101.

May 1: MVCC Golf Team finished 8th with a 329 team score Sunday at Tompkins-Cortland Community
College's Elm Tree Golf Course. Clinton's Tim Waters was medalist for MVCC with an 80. Tim also plays
Lacrosse for MVCC and scored a goal in Saturday's game. He is also a scholar athlete with a 3.5 GPA.
The Hawks are entering their final weekend of matches before regionals with a 31-19 record for 2011.
Whitesboro grad, Stephanie Rahn finished second in the women's division with a 102.

April 30: MVCC finished 2nd at Jefferson Community College's Watertown G.C. being edged out by
Jamestown Community College 322-323. Medalist for the Hawks was Joe Cimmino of Albany with a 79.
Stephanie Rahn of MVCC toook 1st place in the Women's Division with a 99.

April 29: MVCC finished 5th at Corning Community College, played at Corning Country Club, with a team
score of 329. Dustin Farley of MVCC tied for 3rd with a 75. Stephanie Rahn of MVCC won the
Women's Event with a score of 106.

April 23: MVCC Golf finished 1st at Adirondack Community College Event with a score of 337 on April
23rd. Joe Cimmino of MVCC was Medalist with an 81. The Hawks record is now 27-8.

April 22: MVCC finished 3rd at Cayuga Community College Tournament on April 22 with a score of 328.
Medalist was Dustin Farley of MVCC with a score of 74.
